Resolve Labs grew out of our desire to build technology that genuinely helps language learners and to solve interesting problems in AI.
Founder
Josh got his start in programming through game development in high school, with a project reaching more than a million weekly plays. He went on to build large-scale systems at eBay, conduct NLP research at the University of Washington and University of Tokyo, and work on manga translation at Mantra. He is now a research technical lead at Oracle. As head of Resolve Labs, he focuses on machine learning engineering.

After more than 15 years as an independent iOS developer, Adam earned a doctorate in NLP at NAIST before joining RIKEN as an explainable AI researcher. His NLP for language learning research has won best paper awards at NAACL and BEA. At Resolve Labs, he works on NLP for language learning.

Jake holds an MS in Computational Linguistics from the University of Washington and has worked in clinical NLP at the UW School of Medicine, Enlitic, Project Ronin, and now Oracle, where he is a Principal Applied Scientist. His work at Resolve Labs centers on machine learning model development.
